The Meaning is Up to You
You fall deeper into a pit of nothing as your addiction holds you close to its nonexistent heart and lies to you. It speaks sweet nothings in your ears and stings as it flows through your veins. As you breathe, it steals the air from your lungs. It enslaves you and ties you to the very thing it uses to kill you.
"Die slowly in my hands", it will say to you as it eats away at your ability to fight it.
It is what consumes your thoughts and drives you mad. It is what leaves you hollow and empty when you are left alone. It draws you ever closer to the unmarked grave it will leave you in. It is a cold death brought on by the loss of your life.
Fight the dark. Fight the drugs. Fight the idol that weaves itself through your being and rots your mind.
A shallow comment to a deep post: what a creepily excellent summary of addiction.
