Failed

Who have I let down? Whose expectations have I not met?

How many people have I failed?

I think of all the things I could have done. 
I think of all the people I could have been, but I sit here being only who I am. 
I am unsure of who I will even become.

I know that I have let you down and that my sheer existence has caused some pain. 

I can't apologize for breathing or for being a failure in others' eyes, but I can say that I hope for something beautiful to come from the ashes of my missed opportunity.
