Night and Day

Souls,

My heart longs to connect with you. I've so desperately held on to the idea that you share the sun with me, but I know that's not true. My body is weary from the day and the night has grown dark. I must sleep, but I have to ask you: As the sun shines bright, will you reflect your light upon the moon? Will you watch over me as I sleep and protect me in my dreams?

There isn't much I can offer you from the past. There's no way I can repay you for returning the sun to me as I merely pass you the moon. All I can do is assure you that the stars shined bright over me and they will dot your blanket in the sky. There is one thing I wish to do— One thing I wish so much to do. I wish to call to you across the time that separates us and tell you that I miss you. That I'm glad you exist on the other side.
